Validation-stage privacy note
What happens to your details.
Outside Chance is currently a small validation experiment, not a live dating service. This note explains the information collected through the early-list and Date Idea forms.
What we collect
The early-list form collects your email address, broad area, confirmation that you are 18 or over, selected Date Ideas, and any optional age-band, gender, research-contact response, comment, feature request or question you choose to provide.
The suggestion form collects your email address and the Date Idea information you submit. Please do not include precise meeting locations, contact details or sensitive personal information in a suggestion.
Why we collect it
The information is used to measure genuine local interest, understand which Date Ideas appeal, review suggestions and feedback, answer questions, and contact you about Outside Chance. Research contact is optional and recorded separately.
What we do not do
We do not sell your details, publish your email address, expose precise home locations, or use third-party advertising trackers. Anonymous events such as page views, Date Idea selections and successful form submissions are counted without cookies or persistent visitor identifiers.
Retention and your choices
This is a working notice and needs qualified review before a wider public launch. Data should be kept only while the validation study is active or while you have asked for project updates. You may request access, correction or deletion using the project contact address once it is published here.
